After a long day outdoors Hawthorn Suites Akron/Seville is a wonderful location to spend a night or two, and if you came to camp Maple Lakes Campgrounds is a pleasant site to do that. If you come at the right time of year, Rocky River - North Branch offers some delightful whitewater. Lakes? Sure, Chippewa Watershed Conservation District Structure Reservoir is close by.

Whispering Hills Campground

We just returned from a week of camping, and rate this campground 9.5 out of 10. The staff keep everything well-maintained. There is a large pool that our kids lived in all week. The bathrooms are clean. There is a free 9-hole miniature golf course, frisbee golf course, basketball court, volleyball net, petting zoo, fishing pond, paddle boats, playground, and small game room, so there is plenty for the kids to do. Did I say that everything is clean and well-maintained? There is a small store on-site that surprisingly has a lot of items you may need, and their prices are reasonable. There are lots of activities close by: Canoeing, horseback riding, amish cooking (we really like the Swiss Chalet in Charm), small town shopping, and much more. We obviously highly recommend it. I like to camp at Lake Wapusun Because they are away from all the tourist areas and you can really enjoy nature. They have a really big campgrounds with I think 120 acres. There is great fishing and the lakes are very nice. Check out the fish my uncle caught....
I like the whole camping part of lake wapusun, but they don't keep the lakes cleaned up so you can fish. They need to do Alot of upgrading and cleaning of ALL the lakes.... |
