If you are in Warren county it's always a good idea to stop by Chiefs Lake. That right there is loads already, but it continues; Chiefs Lake has it all. For the period of the long summer days at Chiefs Lake highs are ordinarily in the 80's. For the duration of the moonlight hours it's generally in the 60's. This lake is so wonderful. Camping is available at Green Meadows Campgrounds; splendid hiking is available along the Dogwood Trail. After a long day outdoors Baymont Inn & Suites Wilmington is a nice place to spend a night or two, and in case you don’t have a problem getting wet, you can always go whitewater paddling on Second Creek. You don’t have to go far from Chiefs Lake to distinguish the water at Chiefs Lake Dam, and don't leave Chiefs Lake without first going for a hike
along the Beechnut Loop Trail. Chiefs Lake is a good place of common precipitation; during the month of July you get the most rain around here, and the driest month of the year is January. There are plenty of folks from Wilmington
here at Chiefs Lake, and if you feel like a little side journey, try Stony Hollow.
Go for a hike on the Lakeview Trail, and why not camp at Thousand Trails if you're here at Chiefs Lake. And that's not all you can do here at Chiefs
Lake. Caesar Creek Lake is a nearby lake that you could stop at, and Caesar Creek is a good whitewater spot close by.
