You'll wish for more hours in a day to enjoy all the fun things at Carson Pond. Get your heart pumping on the brilliant whitewater of Grand River. This lake is so wonderful. A nice close by hotel is Holiday Inn Express Hotel & Suites Ashtabula-Geneva, Oh, and you'll probably meet some folks from Ashtabula here. If you need a location to stay Freeway Motel is a perfect choice, and why not take a little trip to Coffee Creek       since you're here. You'll need more than a day to look at everything Carson Pond has to offer, you can camp at Buccaneer Campsites, and while you're here you can play some golf at Chapel Hill Golf Course. Carson Pond is a good place of typical rain; through June this area sees the most rain while February is the month with the least amount of precipitation. Stay the night at Hide-a-way Lakes Campground, and whitewater paddling is not for everybody but if                  it's for you then, we recommend Ashtabula. High temperatures at Carson Pond through the summer are in the 80's; through summer nights temperatures are in the 60's.
