What a nice lake Buck Lake is. If you need a spot to stay Holiday Inn Express Hotel & Suites ATHENS is a pleasant choice, and lots of folks from Athens come here. At Buck Lake all through the summer months highs are in the 80's, and all through summer nights temperatures are in the 60's. Daytime highs during the winter are in the 30's; through the dark hours in the winter at Buck Lake temperatures plunge to the 10's. Buck Lake gets a common amount of rainfall;

Be careful coming to Buck Lake, you might not ever wanna return home again. The Indian Mound Trail offers hiking at its best, and camping at Carthage Gap Campground is always a great experience.
