Why not stop by a swamp like Copley Swamp since you're here at Black Pond, and everyone nearby loves skiing at Brandywine. Lakes? Sure, Yellow Pond is nearby, and the skiing at Boston Mills is great. This lake is so wonderful. Camping at Camelot Camping Grounds is always a great experience, and there's always Wolf Creek Dam to check out in close proximity to Black Pond.       Get your heart beating on the good whitewater of Yellow Creek, and Black Pond is not far at all from Akron. This is no place for people who don’t like to have a good time. Some of the water nearby flows, like Pigeon Creek, and Oakwood at Park Hill at Fairlawn is a magnificent place to get some rest. Not far from Black Pond, you'll come across White Pond which is a picturesque lake, and dry warm beds await you at Hilton Akron/Fairlawn. An average amount of precipitation                  falls at Black Pond; May is when you get the most rain here; January on the other hand is the driest. Wintergreen Ledges is an out of the ordinary thing to catch a glimpse of since you're here at Black Pond, and enjoy a round of golf at Good Park Golf Course. During the warm days of summer at Black Pond temperatures are typically in the 80's. Once the sun is down it sinks down to the 50's. High temperatures during the winter are normally in the 30's, and after the sun is down during the wintertime temperatures at Black Pond fall into the 10's. Cuyahoga Valley National Recreation Area is a great local destination here at Black Pond, and a delightful spot for whitewater paddling is Cuyahoga River.
