Do stop by Benua Lake while you're in this part of Ohio. Lakes are good; Lake Romona is a lake that's in close proximity to Benua Lake. Float down the rapids of Hocking River in a kayak, and Geneva Hills Center is a good campground nearby. A normal amount of precipitation falls here at Benua Lake; of all the months in a year May is the one with the most rain, and February meanwhile is the driest month.

There's great hiking along the Gorge Trail, and after a long day outdoors Lancaster Knights Inn is a pleasant place to spend a night or two. Ridge Farm Lake is a lake close at hand. Don't leave Benua Lake without first going for a hike along the West Rim Trail; Benua Lake is a perfect place to visit for more than one day, Lake View RV Park and Camp Grnd is a perfect place to camp nearby.
