A round of golf at nearby Whispering Pines Executive Golf Course is a good way to kill some time; you'll meet a lot of people from East Liverpool-Salem here. The amount of rainfall that falls at Beaver Lake is close to the national average; the month with most of the rain is July, and the driest month is February. This lake is so wonderful. Near Beaver Lake you come across the Dogwood       Trail which is a magnificent hiking trail, and glide down the rapids of Little Beaver Creek in a kayak. Going for a hike on the Vondergreen Trail is always a magnificent adventure, needless to say you could also go to Evans Lake if you're here; it's not far at all. What a place this is for outdoors people. After a long day outdoors Holiday Inn Express Hotel & Suites Youngstown (N. Lima/Boardman) is a magnificent location to spend a night or two, and there                  are swamps here too, Snyder Bog is in the vicinity. Dry warm beds await you at Quality Inn & Suites; paddling on Little Beaver Creek is so much fun. This lake is so wonderful. Beaver Lake is right next door to Beaver Lake Dam which is a beautiful location certainly worth stopping at; if you came for an overnight stay Terrace Lakes Campground is a nice place to camp. The Pine Ridge Trail is a tremendous hiking trail in the neighborhood of Beaver Lake, and Flying Finn Family Campground is a magnificent campground nearby. Throughout the summertime at Beaver Lake highs are regularly in the 80's. Summer night lows plunge down to the 50's.
