At Banks Pond you always meet someone from Ashland, and you'll hit upon a picturesque lake called Pleasant Hill Lake. This lake is so wonderful. Hit the slopes at Snow Trails in close proximity; if you need a place to stay Econo Lodge Mansfield is a fine choice. There's no such thing as a bad day of skiing at nearby Clear Fork, and drift down the rapids of Clear Fork of Mohican       in a kayak. Banks Pond Dam is not far at all from Banks Pond; a charming lake like Mohican Trail Camp Lake is a brilliant place to take a look at. So much fun stuff to do at Banks Pond, so little time. Rocky Fork flows through this region, and if you come at the right time of year, Kokosing River offers some pleasant whitewater. There's so much to do here at Banks Pond that you need to camp here for a while, Butler/Mohican KOA is a great spot for that, and                  Forest Hills Golf Course is a tremendous golf course close by. High temperatures at Banks Pond through the warm days of summer are in the 80's. Summer nighttime lows sink down to the 60's. The wintertime comes with highs in the 30's, and overnight lows through the winter for Banks Pond tend to be in the 10's. This lake is so wonderful. You'll need more than a day to explore everything Banks Pond has to offer, you can camp at Pleasant Hill Lake Park; Holiday Inn Express Hotel & Suites Ashland, Oh is a delightful place to get some rest.
