If you need a location to stay Super 8 Reynolds /East Columbus Area is a splendid choice; Fran Bar Park is a great campground nearby. Throughout the summertime, highs regularly are in the 80's at Ashton Pond. When the night sets in temperatures descend down into the 60's. For the period of the winter this place gets highs in the 30's, and winter nights come with lows in the 10's to Ashton Pond. This lake is so wonderful. You'll locate a wonderful lake called

| | Moore Pond near Ashton Pond, and going for a hike on the Squawroot Nature Trail is always a good adventure. Ashton Pond is not far at all from Columbus, and do check out McGill Pond, it's a charming lake.

is a glorious hiking trail. There is a nice hiking trail in the vicinity of Ashton Pond called the Sassafras Horse Trail, and you can stay the night at Jackson Lake Park.
I can't stop, cause I'm havin' a nice time here at Ashton
Pond. Get wet paddling on Hocking River, and if you're a golfer then a glorious close by course is Blacklick Woods Metro Golf Course. This lake is so wonderful.

It's a beautiful area to row!!...What happened to the camp grounds at Hoover!!!!This is neededback!!!We had great fun there....We recently discovered Hoover Reservoir. It's a beautiful lake, though much, if not most, is inaccessible due to ''private propery''. It appears there are several new access areas however. One can drive entirely around it in less than 30 minutes. The area around the damn, and the area around the other end (the ''Big Walnut Creek'' flow into the lake is also very nice. It's sorta hard to find a quiet area as it is near Columbus. It's well worth a visit.... |
