If you get bored of Armco Park Lake, you could also stop at close by Shroder Lake, and enjoy a round of golf at Shaker Run Golf Club. This lake is so wonderful. Looking for some flowing water? Try Harmon Run, and there is a great hiking trail close by called the Heron Run Trail. There's always Shaker Creek Dam to pop by close to       Armco Park Lake, and the Ghost Hedge Nature Trail is a good hiking trail nearby. Whitewater paddling is not for everyone but if it's for you then we recommend Hall's Creek, and during your trip here you'll meet some people from Dayton for sure. A normal amount of rain falls here at Armco Park Lake; May is the wettest month with most rain, and the driest of the months is January. After a long day outdoors Ramada Franklin/Middletown is a pleasant place to spend a night or two. During the summer months at Armco Park Lake highs are frequently in the 80's. When the night sets in temperatures fall down into the 60's.
