There's glorious hiking along the Pine Ridge Trail; Holiday Inn Express Hotel & Suites Youngstown (N. Lima/Boardman) is a magnificent spot to get some rest. Als Lake gets a typical amount of rain; most of the rain falls during July; February is when it's the driest. This lake is so wonderful. Als Lake is right by the Vondergreen Trail. You'll need more than a day to explore everything       Als Lake has to offer, you can camp at Terrace Lakes Campground. The Dogwood Trail offers hiking at its best; Als Lake is a nice place to visit for more than one day, Cherry Valley Camp Ground is a nice place to camp nearby. For the duration of the summertime months, highs usually are in the 80's at Als Lake. When the night sets in temperatures dip down into the 50's. Daytime highs during the wintertime are in the 30's, and throughout the dark hours in the                  wintertime at Als Lake temperatures plunge to the 10's. A delightful site for whitewater paddling in close proximity to Als Lake is Little Beaver Creek, and you can run the rapids of Little Beaver Creek. This place, Als Lake, it completely has so much outdoors entertaining stuff. If you need a place to stay Quality Inn & Suites is a great choice, and if you're here and you like golf, you can explore Copeland Hills Golf Course. You're almost certainly addicted to lakes, Big Rock Lake is one of those nearby, and Als Lake is a place with many visitors from East Liverpool-Salem.
