Schoharie Creek has a great whitewater paddling spot close by, and camping is available at Loust Park. For the duration of the warm days of summer here at Youngs Lakes, high temperatures frequently reach the 80's while nighttime lows are ordinarily in the 50's. The wintertime comes with highs in the 20's while the cold winter nights at Youngs Lakes are in the 0's. This lake is so wonderful. You get a       brilliant sight of Bean Hill from Youngs Lakes; if you came for an overnight stay Frosty Acres Campgrounds is a brilliant spot to camp. Youngs Lakes is a wet site that gets lots of precipitation; through the month of June you get the most rain around here, and the driest month of the year is February.
