     The beauty of Yanketown Pond attracts many people from all around. This lake is so wonderful. Near Yanketown Pond you come across the Willow Trail which is a brilliant hiking trail, and if you need a spot to stay Hotel Mountain Brook is a perfect choice. Yanketown Pond is one of the lakes here in the Catskill Mountains.
Camping at Kenneth L Wilson Camp Site is always a good experience, and get your pulse rate up on the delightful whitewater of Rondout Creek.
 
   At Yanketown Pond you can catch a sight of Acorn Hill; you can go for a hike on the Kanape Jeep Trail. All through the summer at Yanketown Pond temperatures are usually in the 70's. Once the sun is down it plunges down to the 50's. All through the winter highs are in the 20's, and winter nights come with lows in the 0's to Yanketown Pond.
This lake is so wonderful. Whitewater paddling is not for everybody but if it's for you then we recommend Saw Kill River,
 
               and a day on the slopes of Hunter Mountain is just what you need. That right there is a heap of exciting stuff already but it goes on, the Catskill Mountains has it all. Going for a hike on the Phoenicia Trail is always a brilliant adventure. Lakes? Sure, Ashokan Reservoir is in close proximity. Don't you try to stop me, cause I'm havin' a brilliant time here at Yanketown Pond. Camping is available at So-hi Campground, and after a long day outdoors Sparrowhawk Affaires is a great location to spend a night or two.
Yanketown Pond is a wet place that gets much rain; of all the months in a year November is the one with the most rain, and February meanwhile is the driest month. You'll really wish for more hours in a day to enjoy all the cool stuff in the Catskill Mountains. This is a popular spot for folks from Kingston; if you like skiing, you're in luck; Windham Mountain is relatively near.
