Woodruff Pond gets a common amount of yearly rainfall; most of the rain falls through August, and February is when it's the driest. This lake is so wonderful. If you need a location to stay Rip Van Winkle Motel is a good choice, and you can go for a hike on the       West Shore Trail. This lake is so wonderful. Woodruff Pond is not the only site close by, Scribner Pond is a close by lake, and if you get bored of Woodruff Pond you could also stop at nearby Lake Alice. A tour to Allens Bay in the neighborhood of Woodruff Pond is always a delightful idea, and this is a popular location for people from Plattsburgh. Hiking is a popular thing to do around Woodruff Pond; North Shore Trail is a pleasant local trail; you can                  run the rapids of Salmon River. What a site this is for outdoors people. After a long day outdoors Plattsburgh Super 8 Motel is a good location to spend a night or two; a great place for whitewater paddling is Saranac River. Through the months of summer at Woodruff Pond highs are usually in the 80's, and through summer nights temperatures are in the 50's. For the duration of the winter the highs are regularly in the 20's, and after the sun is down throughout the winter temperatures at Woodruff Pond descend into the 0's.
