Lakes are such calm locations, why not have a look at Tarrytown Reservoir next to Woodlands Lake, and do take a hike on the Appalachian National Scenic Trail. This lake is so wonderful. You can run the rapids of Popolopen Creek near Woodlands Lake. If you need a place to stay Ardsley Acres Hotel - Westchester is a great choice; why not camp at Camp Echo Lake while you're here at Woodlands Lake. Woodlands Lake a wet place; July is the wettest month with most rain; the driest of the months is February. High temperatures at Woodlands Lake throughout the warmest time of the year are in the 80's. When the night sets in temperatures
plunge down into the 60's. The cold days of the wintertime come with highs in the 30's; overnight lows in the 10's for Woodlands Lake. There's some flowing water close by, Rum Brook is a stream you can explore while you're here; why not spend some time golfing at a nearby golf course like St Andrews Golf Club.
