    Why not stop by Woodlands Lake if you're passing through these parts. Camping is available at Camp Echo Lake; there are other places here than Woodlands Lake, for example Crestwood Lake. You assume that's sufficient? Just getting warmed up. Tarrytown Reservoir is a great lake near Woodlands Lake, and golf can be played at St Andrews Golf Club. Going for a hike on the Woodtown Trail is always a splendid adventure, and there's whitewater on Popolopen Creek for  
   all you adrenaline kick people.
Rum Brook is a nice place to stop at, and why not camp at Trailmark Outdoor Adventures while you're here at Woodlands Lake. This lake is so wonderful. Near Woodlands Lake you stumble on the Suffern-Bear Mountain Trail which is a nice hiking trail, and if you need a location to stay Springhill Suites By Marriott Tarrytown/Greenburgh is a pleasant choice. All the water falling down from the sky makes Woodlands Lake a wet location;
 
               the month with most of the rain is July; the driest month of the year is February.
This lake is so wonderful. There is a brilliant hiking trail close to Woodlands Lake called the Appalachian National Scenic Trail. For the duration of the days of summer, highs usually are in the 80's at Woodlands Lake while nighttime lows are usually in the 60's. For the period of the winter this place gets highs in the 30's with temperatures at Woodlands Lake dipping down into the 10's during winter nights. If you're dropping by Woodlands Lake from New York-Newark-Edison, you won't be the only one, and after a long day outdoors Ardsley Acres Hotel - Westchester is a good site to spend a night or two.

KISSENA LAKE IS ONE BEAUTIFUL BODY OF WATER!! AND TO THINK, ITS IN NYC IN QUEENS COUNTY. THE SURROUNDING PARK IS GREAT ALSO!! SO MUCH TO DO HERE. Do you have any pictures of camp henry?  My father went there in the 1920's.  The land was sold a while ago and now has a housing development on it....Lillian Wald had a camp on secor lake .Camp Henry.i am fortune enough to have been born on the block where Lillian started the henry street settlement. I am a 49yr who spent 10 summers of my life on lake secor 67-76..Actually I live in the settlement for 3 1/2 yrs. Amazing!...
