Enjoy a round of golf at Nick Stoner Municipal Golf Course not far from Winter Lake, and while you're here you can take a hike along the Hamilton Mountain Fire Tower Trail. Summertime brings highs in the 80's to Winter Lake; the nighttime is a tad colder of course, ordinarily in the 50's. The winter comes with highs in the 20's while the cold winter                  nights at Winter Lake are in the 0's. This lake is so wonderful. Whitewater paddling is good on Sacandaga River - West Branch. You'll need more than a day to discover everything Winter Lake has to offer, you can camp at Campsite.
