For the period of the summer months highs here at Winnisook Lake get into the 70's with night lows in the 50's. For the period of the winter highs are ordinarily in the 20's; during the dark hours in the winter at Winnisook Lake temperatures dip to the 0's. The top of Hemlock Mountain is easily spotted from Winnisook Lake, and Nevele Grande Resort is a great site to get some       rest. If you want a glorious time in the great outdoors just come on up to the Catskill Mountains. Giant Ledge is a tremendous site to visit while in the vicinity, and Romer Mountain Park is a nice local campground. This lake is so wonderful. There is a good hiking trail next to Winnisook Lake called the Seager West Branch Trail, and paddling on Esopus Creek is so much fun. So many enjoyable things to do here at Winnisook Lake, too great to be true. Hanging                  Birds Nest is a magnificent place to spend some time at, and the slopes of Hunter Mountain are so inviting noone can resist. These mountains rock, just look at all the fun things to do in the Catskill Mountains. Why not camp at Uncle Pete's Recreation Park while you're here at Winnisook Lake; the friendly folks of Kingston like to hang out nearby. Belleayre is a magnificent local ski area, and whitewater paddling is glorious on Esopus Creek. Winnisook Lake is one of the lakes here in the Catskill Mountains. There are good places to look at along the Kanape Jeep Trail. This lake is so wonderful. Going for a hike on the Vernooy Falls Trail is always a wonderful adventure; dry warm beds await you at Lexington at Hudson Valley Resort.
