Winch Pond is a great lake in an area with lots of outdoors fun all around. You just can't picture the amount of outdoors fun things the Adirondack Mountains has to offer. High Falls is always fun to check out, and from Winch Pond you get a wonderful vista of Kilburn Mountain. Having a good time in the Adirondack Mountains is simple. The slopes of Whiteface Mountain are so inviting nobody can resist, and why not take a refreshing hike along the Johns Brook

| | Trail. If you come at the right time of year, Ausable River - West Branch offers some fine whitewater, and do take a hike on the Southside Trail.
This lake is so wonderful. While you're here at Winch Pond you will meet lots of people from close by Plattsburgh; camping at Lake Placid/Whiteface MT KOA is always a glorious experience. Yep, outdoors cool stuff to do are beyond doubt bountiful here at Winch Pond. A golf course next to Winch
Pond is Craig Wood Golf & Country Club; the Schwartz Trail offers hiking at its best. The warmest time of the year brings highs in the 70's to Winch Pond while nighttime lows are mostly in the 50's. The cold days of the wintertime
come with highs in the 20's with temperatures at Winch Pond dipping down into the 0's during winter nights. A typical amount of precipitation falls here at Winch Pond; most of the rain falls all through August, and the driest month
is February.
But wait, there's more cool things to do in the Adirondack Mountains. Winch Pond is not the only place nearby, Long Pond is a nearby lake, and Courtyard Lake Placid is a great spot to get some rest. The summits of
the Sentinel Range add much beauty to the neighborhood around Winch Pond, and if you need a site to stay Mirror Lake Inn is a tremendous choice.
