It's always fun to stop by Willow Lake. Beaver Pond is a good local campground; why not head up to Thunder Ridge and strap some skis to your feet. Willow Lake is a wet place that gets a great deal of rain; during the month of May you get the most rain around here while February is usually the driest month. Yeah, come here to Willow Lake for a great time. Why not camp at Sylvan Lake Beach Park if you're here at Willow Lake, and while you're here you can

| | play some golf at Fishkill Golf Course & Driving Range. This lake is so wonderful. There are some nice whitewater spots on Wappinger Creek, and why not take a refreshing hike along the Stillwell Lake Trail. You'll come across a beautiful lake called Beacon Reservoir near Willow Lake; Honness Mountain is clearly visible from Willow Lake. This lake is so wonderful. Fishkill-Poughkeepsie. Residence Inn By Marriott Fishkill is a magnificent place to get some rest, and why not take a little spree to Clove Creek if you're here. Lakes are such calm places, why not go to Sharp Reservation in close
proximity to Willow Lake; whitewater paddling is not for everyone but if it's for you then, we recommend Moodna Creek. All through the months of summer, highs mostly are in the 70's at Willow Lake with nighttime lows in the 60's.
Highs throughout the winter are regularly in the 30's, and nighttime lows all through the winter for Willow Lake tend to be in the 10's.

 | 11 miles away ...e story pink house on chestnut ridge rd.back in the late sixties ,and every Christmas the people of the surrounding lk. There were none on the east side of the lake at the time. Well we would collect our Christmas trees around fifty or so and dig them into the ice about forty ft apart and make two rows . Then we would all set a time and light em,, and we would skate , fish ,whatever the lines of trees ran from the n.west dock to the east..the clam bakes were held at the other lk..haven just up the stream that ran along my house..After the dam broke from lk haven the water flooded down into our house..What a flood..seems after that we sold the house to a fireman ,,and then our course by accident the house burnt down ,,and I thought fireman were supposed to put out fires not start em .hello to all that still prevail on chestnut ridge. yea I also went to school with Henry Winkler.. And back then we used to trick or treat all the way down to route six..camp sycamore well I still have my green card with the red paper wonder if its still good..the camp was but a lake with a cottage or two.... |
