Wilkie Reservoir is not the only location close by, Hidden Lake is a close by lake, and if you're here you will meet lots of folks from close by Glens Falls. This lake is so wonderful. A fine place for whitewater paddling near Wilkie Reservoir is       Hudson River, and on a pretty day you obtain a perfect vista of Beech Mountain from Wilkie Reservoir. Camping is available at Adirondack Camping Village, and you can hit the slopes at Willard Mountain nearby. If you're here at Wilkie Reservoir and you like golf, you can have a look at Bend of the River Golf Club, and if you came for an overnight stay Whippoorwill Campsites is a great site to camp. Not enough hours in a day to enjoy the Adirondack Mountains.                  If you need a place to stay Lake George Hotel is a great choice, and there's no such thing as a bad day of skiing at close by West Mountain. From a rainfall point of view Wilkie Reservoir is a relatively typical place; August is the wettest month with most rain, and January is when it's the driest. This is no site for people who don’t like to have fun. You could also pop by Keenan Reservoir since you're here at Wilkie Reservoir; it's nearby, and dry warm beds await you at Lake View Hotel and Conference Center. This lake is so wonderful. Summertime highs at Wilkie Reservoir ordinarily tend to be in the 70's. Throughout the dark hours of summer temperatures descend down into the 50's.
