This lake is so wonderful. Here at Wilcox Lake there are plenty of folks from Gloversville, and the Oregon Trail offers hiking at its best. And that's not everything there is to do here in the Adirondack Mountains. You can run the rapids of Georgia Brook in close proximity to Wilcox Lake; why not take a refreshing hike along the Hamilton Mountain Fire Tower Trail. Just can't get enough       of the Adirondack Mountains. There's whitewater on East Stony Creek for all you adrenaline rush seekers, and if you came to camp Rainbows End is a great spot to do that. This lake is so wonderful. Holiday Inn Johnstown-Gloversville, Ny is a magnificent place to get some rest. What would winter be without some skiing at Gore Mountain, and a lake nearby is Shiras Pond. Wilcox Lake is a good spot of typical rainfall; of all the months in a year August is the one                  with the most rain; February is when it's the driest. A delightful panorama of delightful New Lake Mountain is available from Wilcox Lake, and obviously Dayton Creek flows through this area. During the summertime highs here at Wilcox Lake reach the 70's while overnight lows are ordinarily in the 50's. For the period of the winter highs are in the 20's with temperatures at Wilcox Lake dipping down into the 0's during winter nights. This lake is located in the wonderful Adirondack Mountains. You imagine that's enough? Just getting warmed up.
