     This lake is so wonderful. Dry warm beds await you at Best Western Mountain Lake Inn. Very delightful scenery and nice skiing is what you get at Gore Mountain; no need to travel far to have a look at attention-grabbing stuff like Blue Ledge. Yeah, come up here to the Adirondack Mountains for a fine time. Lakes? Sure, Ross Pond is around here, and at Whortleberry Pond you can distinguish Bell Mountain.
If you want a pleasant time in the great outdoors,
 
   just come on down to Whortleberry Pond. Carter Pond is a tremendous lake close to Whortleberry Pond; whitewater paddling is fine on Cedar River. All the outdoors amusing things in the Adirondack Mountains will keep you coming back repeatedly. Going for a hike along the Indian Pass Trail will let you absorb the natural beauty of this vicinity, and if you came for an overnight stay Cedar Pond Campground is a splendid place to camp. This lake is so wonderful.  
               Hiking along the Northville Lake Placid Trail is wonderful fun, and Hudson River has a perfect whitewater paddling spot close by.
Looking for some flowing water? Try Nate Pond Brook; Whortleberry Pond is right by the Oregon Trail. Whortleberry Pond is a beautiful lake in the Adirondack Mountains. Whortleberry Pond gets a common amount of annual precipitation; August is the wettest month with most rain; the driest of the months is February.
For the duration of the long summer days highs here at Whortleberry Pond reach the 70's, and the nighttime is a tad colder of course, usually in the 50's. The cold days of the winter come with highs in the 20's with temperatures at Whortleberry Pond dipping down into the 0's through winter nights.

Northville Lake Placid Trail

Not sure where Plumley's Point is but I hiked the Northville Lake Placid trail about 4 or 5 miles north from Long Lake village and it was fairly well maintained (just a little overgrowth). At one point the trail runs into a bog/pond and the wooden planks are flooded over. You must make a detour to the left and bushwack to some rocks to cross (hiked June 09)...8/14/09 I'm wondering if anyone knows the trail conditions for the Northville Lake Palcid trail from Long Lake village to near Plumley's Point-...
