If you come at the right time of year, Bowman Creek offers some nice whitewater. For the duration of the summer highs here at Whites Pond reach the 70's. For the duration of the moonlight hours it's usually in the 50's. Through the winter highs are regularly in the 20's, and after the sun is down through the winter temperatures at Whites Pond drop into the 0's. This lake is so wonderful. Float down the rapids of Ouleout       Creek in a kayak, and playing golf is lots of fun at Canasawacta Country Club. You'll need more than a day to look at everything Whites Pond has to offer, you can camp at Tall Pines Riverfront Campground Canoeing & Country Store, and after a long day outdoors Rockdale Hotel is a great place to spend a night or two. Whites Pond is a perfect place to camp, Hunt's Pond is a perfect place, and a magnificent nearby hotel is Howard Johnson Hotel.
