This lake is so wonderful. There's some flowing water nearby, Leetown Brook is a stream you can go to while you're here, and if you need a location to stay Le Chambord is a good choice. A common amount of rainfall falls here at White Pond; the month with most of the rain is May, and February on the other hand is the driest.       Lots of people from Poughkeepsie-Newburgh-Middletown come to White Pond, and a tremendous place to camp here at White Pond is Clarence Fahnestock State Park. All through the warmest time of the year at White Pond temperatures are regularly in the 80's while overnight lows are generally in the 60's. The wintertime comes with highs in the 30's while White Pond night low temperatures during the winter are in the 10's. This is no place for people who don’t                  like to enjoy themselves. Inn at Arbor Ridge and Cnf Ctr is a great place to get some rest; the snow is good at Thunder Ridge. Whitewater paddling is not for everybody but if it's for you then we recommend Wappinger Creek; a delightful lake like Little Buck Mountain Pond is a glorious site to check out. Do pop by South Lake in close proximity to White Pond, it's a pretty lake, and get your pulse rate up on the delightful whitewater of Tenmile. This lake is so wonderful.
