If you need a place to stay Econo Lodge Lake Placid is a tremendous choice, and Slide Brook is in the neighborhood of White Lily Pond and is always a diversion to pop by. This lake is so wonderful. Hiking along the Dividing Ridge Trail is tremendous fun; the peak of Allen Mountain can be seen from White Lily Pond. The annual rain here at White Lily Pond is about average; during the month of August you get the most       rain around here; the driest month is February. But wait, there's more cool stuff to do in the Adirondack Mountains. Third Pond is a nearby lake that you could check out; why not head up to Whiteface Mountain and strap some skis to your feet. Not enough hours in a day to enjoy the Adirondack Mountains. Get your heart beating on the delightful whitewater of Boreas River - Upper, and Whispering Pines Campground is a wonderful local campground. If you fancy                  the outdoors, you'll love White Lily Pond. You can run the rapids of John's Brook close to White Lily Pond, and a day on the slopes of Gore Mountain is just what you need. Going for a hike along the Van Hoevenberg Trail will let you absorb the natural beauty of this area. This lake is located in the wonderful Adirondack Mountains. All through the summertime months highs here at White Lily Pond reach the 70's, and through the night it cools down to the 50's. The cold days of the wintertime come with highs in the 20's with temperatures at White Lily Pond dipping down into the 0's through winter nights. Dry warm beds await you at Courtyard Lake Placid, and do take a hike on the Elk Lake Marcy Trail. This lake is so wonderful.
