A splendid location to camp here at White Lead Lake is Adirondack Gateway Campground; McCauley Mountain has glorious slopes and a friendly staff. For the duration of the summertime months at White Lead Lake temperatures are regularly in the 70's. Once the sun is down it drops down to the 50's. All through the winter highs are       in the 20's; nighttime lows in the 0's for White Lead Lake. Take a look at nearby Pooler Vly, and do check out Mad Tom Lake, it's a delightful lake. You completely have to like the Adirondack Mountains. Get yourself into a kayak and hit West Canada Creek, and you can go for a hike on the California Trail. You'll wish for more hours in a day to enjoy all the cool stuff at White Lead Lake. If you would like a little side tour, try Ohio Gorge, and going for a hike on the Party Trail is always a good adventure. Fourmile Brook is a nice site to visit. Good hiking is available along the Twin Lakes Trail; a splendid view of striking McCauley Mountain is available. White Lead Lake sees pretty high levels of precipitation; the month with most of the rain is August, and February is when it's the driest.
