Many people like to go to Whitaker Lake. Hit the beach if you want, Moffit Beach is practically right here; do take a hike on the Northville Lake Placid Trail. The Adirondack Mountains scenery is always beautiful. This place, Whitaker Lake, it clearly has so much outdoors cool stuff. Why not take a refreshing hike along the Sucker Brook Trail, and camping is available at Rainbows End.

| | spot near Whitaker Lake, and lots of people from Gloversville come here. Whitaker Lake is a wet site that gets lots of rainfall; the month with most of the rain is August, and the driest of the months is February. Indian Clearing is a great place, and Silver Hill is scenic and can be spotted from here.
Not enough hours in a day to enjoy the Adirondack Mountains. Cannon Brook flows through this area, and camping at Ranch Side Park is always a great experience. | |

This lake is so wonderful. All through the days of summer at Whitaker Lake temperatures are generally in the 70's, and the overnight is a bit colder of course, generally in the 50's. The cold days of the winter come with highs in
the 20's, and night lows at Whitaker Lake throughout the winter ordinarily drop into the 0's.
But wait, there's more entertaining things to do in the Adirondack Mountains. In case you don’t mind getting drenched, you can always go whitewater paddling on Sacandaga River; Whitaker Lake is right by the Hamilton Mountain Fire Tower Trail.
