Whitaker Lake is a great lake in an area with lots of outdoors fun all around. Silver Hill is a peak you can see from Whitaker Lake, and if you're here, you could also visit wonderful Echo Lake. Whitaker Lake is a beautiful lake in the Adirondack Mountains. Summertime highs at Whitaker Lake regularly tend to be in the 70's. For the period of the moonlight hours it's usually in the 50's. For the period of the wintertime highs are generally in the 20's while Whitaker

Be careful coming to the Adirondack Mountains, you might not ever want to go home again. Go for a hike on the Hamilton Mountain Fire Tower Trail, and Cannon Brook is one of the streams close by that might be worth stopping at. thing to do, and Rainbows End is a nice local campground. This lake is so wonderful. People from Gloversville love to come to Whitaker Lake.
But wait, there's more to do in the neighborhood of Whitaker Lake. Good hiking is available
along the Northville Lake Placid Trail, and get soaked paddling on Sacandaga River. There are glorious spots to look at along the Sucker Brook Trail, and Indian Clearing is a great place. Whitaker Lake gets a large amount of water;
the month with most of the rain is August, and the driest month is February.
This lake is so wonderful. If you came for an overnight stay Ranch Side Park is a good location to camp, and paddling on Sacandaga River - Middle Branch is so much fun.
