There are great places to explore along the California Trail, and Bell Hill can be spotted from Wheelock Pond. Go for a hike on the Party Trail.       The annual rain here at Wheelock Pond is about average; during the month of June you get the most rain around here, and January is the month with the least moisture. This lake is so wonderful. There's so much to do here at Wheelock Pond that you need to camp here for a while, Elmtree Estates is a delightful location for that, and if you would like a little side tour, try Ilion Gorge. This lake is so wonderful. If you don't mind getting drenched, you can always                  go whitewater paddling on Cincinnati Creek, and a fine nearby hotel is Budget Inn Motel. West Canada Creek is a pleasant whitewater spot in close proximity to Wheelock Pond, and do explore Unadilla Lake, it's a scenic lake. Throughout the months of summer here at Wheelock Pond, high temperatures commonly reach the 80's. During the moonlight hours it's ordinarily in the 50's. Daytime highs during the wintertime are in the 20's, and nighttime lows during the winter for Wheelock Pond tend to be in the 10's. You'll wish for more hours in a day to enjoy all the cool stuff at Wheelock Pond.
