This lake is so wonderful. You can run the rapids of Ninemile Creek near Wheelock Pond, and a picturesque lake like Cedar Lake is a delightful spot to explore. If you want a fine time in the great outdoors, just come on down to Wheelock Pond. Elmtree Campsites is a delightful local campground, and       playing golf is lots of fun at Doty's Golf Course. This is a popular place for folks from Utica-Rome, and dry warm beds await you at Utica Red Roof Inn. For the duration of the summertime, highs mostly are in the 80's at Wheelock Pond. Once the sun is down it sinks down to the 50's. The winter comes with highs in the 20's, and through the dark hours in the winter at Wheelock Pond temperatures plunge to the 10's. If the weather is pretty, you obtain a pleasant                  view of Bennett Hill from Wheelock Pond.
