High temperatures at West Ponds through the warm months are in the 80's, and the night is a bit cooler of course, generally in the 50's. Highs during the winter are ordinarily in the 20's with winter lows in the 0's overnight here at West Ponds. A lake nearby is Snider Pond, and camping at Moose River Camp Grounds       is always a magnificent experience. This lake is so wonderful. Drift down the rapids of Beaver River in a kayak; camping is available at Cold Brook Campsites. From a rain point of view West Ponds is a pretty normal place; the wettest month of the year is typically August, that's the one that rains the most while February is the month with the least amount of precipitation.
