It's always fun to stop by West Millpond. There are some delightful whitewater spots on West Stony Creek; as expected Hall Creek flows through this area. There's just no way anybody can get bored here at West Millpond. If you came to camp Campsite is a brilliant location to do that; if you've had enough of West Millpond, Ash Pond is close by. Going for a hike on the Hamilton Mountain Fire Tower Trail is always a perfect adventure, and Johnstown/Gloversville

This lake is so wonderful. Summertime highs at West Millpond usually tend to be in the 80's, and during summer nights temperatures are in the 50's. Highs through the winter are usually in the 20's; overnight lows at West Millpond throughout the winter ordinarily dip into the 0's. This lake is so wonderful. If you come at the right time of year, Holmes Lake Outlet offers some glorious whitewater, and a good close by hotel is Holiday Inn Johnstown-Gloversville, Ny. West
Millpond gets a great deal of water; through November this area sees the most rain, and February is the month with the least moisture. Camping at Royal Mountain Campsites is always a great experience, obviously you could also have a look at Maylender Pond if you're here; it's not far at all.
