Stay the night at Heckscher State Park; if you're here, you could explore Corey Creek. A large amount of rainfall falls at West Lake; all through the month of November you get the most rain around here, and the driest of the months is February. This lake is so wonderful. If you need a spot to stay Fairfield Inn Medford Long Island is a splendid choice; Suffolk County Golf Course is a pleasant golf course nearby.       Nothing beats kicking back at Blue Point Beach. Any time is a brilliant time at West Lake if you adore the outdoors. West Lake is not the only location close by, Sans Souci Lakes is a close by lake, and a trip to Blue Point is always a great idea. After a long day outdoors Crowne Plaza Hotel LONG ISLAND - MACARTHUR ARPT is a great location to spend a night or two, and if you're looking for a beach nearby we recommend Great South Beach. There's so much to do                  here at West Lake that you need to camp here for a while, Hither Hills State Park is a delightful spot for that, and the vistas at Fire Island National Seashore will blow your mind. Summertime brings highs in the 80's to West Lake, and the nighttime is somewhat cooler of course, commonly in the 60's.
