West Lake is a nice lake to visit. All year is a perfect time in the Adirondack Mountains if you fancy the outdoors. Holiday Inn Johnstown-Gloversville, Ny is a good spot to get some rest, and Point Breeze is not far at all. From a precipitation point of view West Lake is a reasonably normal site; the wettest month of the year is generally June, that's the one that rains the most; the driest month is February. | | Lake is great, and Pine Lake Campground and RV Park is a magnificent local campground. This lake is so wonderful. While you're here at West Lake you can play some golf at Nick Stoner Municipal Golf Course, and a lake close by is Mud Lake. This lake is so wonderful. If you need a location to stay Rodeway Inn Palatine Bridge is a pleasant choice; you can run the rapids of Caroga Creek. West Lake is a beautiful lake in the Adirondack Mountains. You assume | |

that's sufficient? Just getting warmed up. Get your pulse rate up on the great whitewater of Sprite Creek, and lots of folks from Amsterdam come here. So much exciting stuff to do here in the Adirondack Mountains, too pleasant to
be true. There are wonderful spots to look at along the Hamilton Mountain Fire Tower Trail; Campsite is a brilliant campground nearby. All through the summer, highs usually are in the 80's at West Lake. Once the sun is down it
sinks down to the 50's. High temperatures throughout the winter are normally in the 20's, and after the sun is down during the wintertime temperatures at West Lake descend into the 0's. Lily Lake is an out of the ordinary swamp in the vicinity of West Lake, and West Lake is not the only spot nearby, Nine Corner Lake is a nearby lake.

 | Never been there...going there soon though....l\Love it there, going today. :)...Great spot for swimming in the summer. Clear waters, with many rocks and small cliffs to jump off, along with a rope swing! Its a heavily used area, made apparent by the large amount of garbage left around during the busy months, but all in all a good lake and definatley worth the short hike.... |
