The beauty of West Lake is reason enough to stop by. Be careful coming to the Adirondack Mountains, you might not ever want to go back home again. But wait, there's more to do close to West Lake. If you like skiing, you're in luck; Whiteface Mountain is right next door to West Lake; hiking along the Schwartz Trail is magnificent fun. Yeah, come up here to the Adirondack Mountains for a nice time. Get your heart beating on the splendid whitewater of Ausable River

| | - West Branch, and do check out Falls Brook since you're here at West Lake.
This lake is so wonderful. Connery Pond is a great lake near West Lake, and after a long day outdoors Lakeview Motor Inn is a good spot to spend a night or two. West Lake is a place with many visitors from Plattsburgh, and Mirror Lake Inn is a good site to get some rest. Mount Pisgah is a good local ski area, and do take a hike on the McKenzie Pond Trail.

also while you're here. You'll need more than a day to discover everything West Lake has to offer, you can camp at Adirondak Loj. This lake is so wonderful. You can run the rapids of Ausable River - West Branch close to West Lake,
and going for a hike along the Indian Pass Trail will let you absorb the natural beauty of this area. This place, West Lake, it clearly has so much outdoors entertaining stuff. Craig Wood Golf & Country Club is a golf course in close
proximity to West Lake. There's so much to do here at West Lake that you need to camp here for a while, Whispering Pines Campground is a nice place for that.
West Lake is located in the Adirondack Mountains. All the outdoors enjoyable
things in the Adirondack Mountains will keep you coming back repeatedly. There are other sites here than West Lake, for example Lake Placid, and on a pretty day you get a fine panorama of Moose Mountain from West Lake. From a rainfall
point of view West Lake is a reasonably normal place; August is the wettest month with most rain, and February on the other hand is the driest.
Throughout the summertime months, highs usually are in the 70's at West Lake. Throughout
the moonlight hours it's usually in the 50's. For the period of the winter highs are in the 20's, and all through the dark hours in the winter at West Lake temperatures plunge to the 0's.
