    West Caroga Lake is a lake worth visiting. Having a wonderful time at West Caroga Lake is trouble-free. Caroga Lake is a splendid lake right next door to West Caroga Lake; Caroga Creek has a great whitewater paddling spot close by. There's no way anyone can get bored here in the Adirondack Mountains. If you like swamps, you're in luck, Mud Lake is right nearby, and you can stay the night at Campsite. This lake is so wonderful. Frie Flow is one of the streams  
   nearby that might be worth visiting, and you'll almost certainly meet some people from Amsterdam here.
So much entertaining stuff to do in the Adirondack Mountains, not sufficient time. Paddling on Sprite Creek is so much fun; after a long day outdoors Holiday Inn Johnstown-Gloversville, Ny is a delightful place to spend a night or two. There's so much to do here at West Caroga Lake that you need to camp here for a while, Pine Lake Campground and RV Park
 
               is a tremendous place for that, and you obtain a good panorama of Sheeley Mountain from here. Summertime highs at West Caroga Lake mostly tend to be in the 80's. Summer nighttime lows sink down to the 50's. All through the winter highs are in the 20's with temperatures at West Caroga Lake dipping down into the 0's through winter nights.
West Caroga Lake commonly gets a good deal of rainfall; through November this area sees the most rain, and the driest month of the year is February. This lake is so wonderful. On a delightful day at West Caroga Lake you can take a hike along the Hamilton Mountain Fire Tower Trail, and dry warm beds await you at Johnstown/Gloversville Super 8 Motel.
Lakes are such peaceful places, why not take a look at East Caroga Lake in close proximity to West Caroga Lake; a golf course nearby is Nick Stoner Municipal Golf Course. This lake is located in the wonderful Adirondack Mountains.

Never been there...going there soon though....l\Love it there, going today. :)...Great spot for swimming in the summer. Clear waters, with many rocks and small cliffs to jump off, along with a rope swing! Its a heavily used area, made apparent by the large amount of garbage left around during the busy months, but  all in all a good lake and definatley worth the short hike....

Buckhorn Lake is a private Association Lake located 2 miles north of Unadilla, New York (in Otsego County). Very friendly towns folk and this lake holds the New York State Record for a Large Mouth Bass caught in 1994. The lake is fed by many underground springs but is not ery deep.
