This lake is so wonderful. There's no such thing as a bad day of skiing at nearby Thunder Ridge. Camping       is available at Clarence Fahnestock State Park; there's whitewater on Wappinger Creek for all you thrill seekers. You'll wish for more hours in a day to enjoy all the enjoyable things at West Branch Reservoir. If you're a golfer then a pleasant close by course is Mahopac Golf Club; Inn at Arbor Ridge and Cnf Ctr is a great location to get some rest. There are some magnificent whitewater spots on Tenmile; if you need a place to stay Le Chambord is a delightful                  choice. Summertime at West Branch Reservoir arrives with high temperatures in the 80's. Once the sun is down it sinks down to the 60's. Throughout the winter highs are in the 30's, and after the sun is down throughout the wintertime temperatures at West Branch Reservoir descend into the 10's. This lake is so wonderful. Here at West Branch Reservoir you'll possibly meet some folks from Poughkeepsie-Newburgh-Middletown, and of course Horse Pound Brook is a pretty stream that is worth taking a look at.
