There's so much to do here at Weigelt Pond that you need to camp here for a while, Lake Taghkanic is a       good place for that, and a lake nearby is Moore Pond. Having a great time at Weigelt Pond is simple. If you came to camp Camp Pontiac is a good place to do that, and beautiful scenery and great skiing is what you obtain at Catamount. While you're here at Weigelt Pond you can take a hike along the Northrop Trail, and whitewater paddling is delightful on Kinderhook Creek. This lake is so wonderful. There is a perfect hiking trail near Weigelt Pond called the                  Elbow Trail, and enjoy a round of golf at Copake Country Club. Agawamuck Creek is one of the streams nearby that might be worth stopping at; High Falls is an inspiring spot to stop by during your stay. During the warm days of summer at Weigelt Pond temperatures are usually in the 80's, and the overnight is rather cooler of course, generally in the 50's. The winter brings highs down to the 30's, and night lows in the 0's for Weigelt Pond. This lake is so wonderful. Get dripping wet paddling on Roeliff Jansen Kill River; Weigelt Pond is not the only site nearby, Stever Pond is a nearby lake.
