This lake is so wonderful. Going for a hike on the Seager West Branch Trail is always a great adventure, and you can never get enough of the great skiing at Ski Plattekill. All year is a perfect time in the Catskill Mountains if you go for the outdoors. Really glorious skiing awaits you at Belleayre, and camping at Nickerson Park Campground is always a pleasant experience. So many entertaining things to do here       in the Catskill Mountains, too great to be true. There's whitewater on Delaware River - East Branch for all you adrenaline kick people; dry warm beds await you at Rodeway Inn Richmondville. An average amount of rain falls at Wawaka Lake; during May this area sees the most rain, and February meanwhile is the driest month. If you're here at Wawaka Lake, you could go to Batavia Kill; if you're a golfer then a fine nearby course is Hanah Mountain Resort and Country                  Club. Man, is there heaps of enjoyable things to do right next door to Wawaka Lake. Morris Hill is wonderful and can be made out from Wawaka Lake; there are some perfect whitewater spots on Batavia Kill River. The Catskill Mountains scenery is always beautiful. This lake is so wonderful. A tremendous place in close proximity to Wawaka Lake is Bragg Hollow, and camping is available at Willowemoc Campgrounds. For the period of the warm months here at Wawaka Lake, high temperatures typically get into the 70's, and during the night it cools down to the 50's.
