There's so much to do here at Wantagh Pond that you need to camp here for a while, Camp Connection is a splendid location for that, and a day at lovely Short Beach in the vicinity of Wantagh Pond is a delightful thing to       do. Time spent at Jones Beach next to Wantagh Pond is always tremendous, and Long Island - Days Inn Hicksville is a great site to get some rest. If you need a location to stay The Freeport Inn and Boatel is a wonderful choice, and don't forget to take a nice little spree to Bellmore Creek. High temperatures at Wantagh Pond during the warm months are in the 80's with nighttime lows in the 60's. The wintertime brings highs down to the 30's; night lows in                  the 10's for Wantagh Pond. Life's too short to enjoy all the enjoyable stuff near Wantagh Pond. White Point is rather in the vicinity of Wantagh Pond; golf can be played at Peninsula Golf Club. This lake is so wonderful.
