Lakes? Sure, Round Lake is in close proximity, and a good close by hotel is Hampton Inn Harriman Woodbury. This lake is so wonderful. A day at New Sebago Beach near Walton Lake is time well spent; there are plenty of people from Kingston here. A normal amount of rain falls here at Walton Lake; the wettest month of the year is frequently May, that's the one that rains the most while February is the month with the least amount of precipitation. | | is a splendid site to visit; if you need a site to stay Holiday Inn Express Hotel & Suites CHESTER-MONROE-GOSHEN is a nice choice. During the summertime months at Walton Lake temperatures are usually in the 80's. Through the moonlight hours it's regularly in the 60's. Highs during the winter are usually in the 30's while Walton Lake nighttime low temperatures through the wintertime are in the 10's. by is The Golf Club at Mansion Ridge. Sterling Forest is a very popular ski area nearby; get your heart beating on the tremendous whitewater of Ramapo River. This lake is so wonderful. Hiking is a popular thing to do around Walton
Lake; Pine Meadow Trail is a good local trail, and why not head up to Mt. Peter and strap some skis to your feet. And that's not all you can do here at Walton Lake. Good hiking is available along the Ramapo-Dunderberg Trail; if you
came for an overnight stay Robert Moses is a pleasant spot to camp. That right there is heaps already, but it keeps on going; Walton Lake has it all. Mombasha Lake is a good lake in close proximity to Walton Lake, and a tremendous
spot for whitewater paddling is Moodna Creek. Bellvale Mountain can be made out from Walton Lake, and Camp wabenaki is a great local campground.
