This lake is located in the wonderful Adirondack Mountains. Nicks Lake Campgrounds is a great campground nearby, and probably you're looking for close by lakes? Sure, Loon Lake is just a very short distance away. I can't stop, cause I'm havin' a pleasant time here at Walker Lake. OLD Forge Camping Resort is a pleasant local campground, and if you've had enough of Walker Lake, Mud Pond is nearby. Summertime       brings highs in the 70's to Walker Lake. Once the sun is down it sinks down to the 50's. High temperatures through the winter are normally in the 20's; winter nights come with lows in the 0's to Walker Lake. This lake is so wonderful. Hit the slopes at McCauley Mountain in the vicinity, and there is a perfect hiking trail close by called the Big Deer Pond Trail. Just can't get enough of the Adirondack Mountains. The Norridge Trail is a fine hiking trail right next                  door to Walker Lake; there's whitewater on Beaver River for all you adrenaline kick people. And if that's not enough there's heaps more fun things to do in the Adirondack Mountains. Whitewater paddling is not for everybody but if it's for you then we recommend Oswegatchie River - East Branch. If the weather is magnificent here at Walker Lake, you can go for a hike along the Salmon Lake Trail; there are plenty of people from Ogdensburg-Massena here at Walker Lake.
