A visit to The Vly is always a good idea. But wait, there's more enjoyable stuff to do in the Adirondack Mountains. In the event that you don’t have a problem getting covered with water, you can always go whitewater paddling on Balm of Gilead Brook. It is owned by Suny College Of Environmental Science and Forestry. There are no motors allowed on the lake. No fires and no overnight camping allowed. Dogs must be on a leash.
