For the period of the months of summer here at The Vly, high temperatures mostly get into the 70's; all through summer nights temperatures are in the 50's. The cold days of the wintertime come with highs in the 20's, and after the sun is down during the wintertime temperatures at The Vly sink into the 0's. A beautiful lake like Botheration Pond next to The Vly is a splendid spot to pop by, and you get a wonderful vista of Balm of Gilead Mountain from here.

| | The Vly is one of the lakes here in the Adirondack Mountains. If only every location had this much outdoors enjoyable things, what a great world it would be. Whitewater paddling is fine on Thirteenth Brook, and the best way to spend a winter day is on the slopes of close by Gore Mountain. is a nice local campground; in the event that you don't mind getting drenched, you can always go whitewater paddling on Balm of Gilead Brook. This lake is so wonderful. There's some flowing water nearby, Halfway Brook is a stream
you can explore during your stay, and The Vly is right by the Oregon Trail. You'll discover a wonderful lake called Second Pond near The Vly, and Super 8 Motel - Lake George/Warrensburg Area is a tremendous place to get some rest.
These mountains rock, just check out all the amusing stuff to do in the Adirondack Mountains. A good site to camp here at The Vly is Camp Dippikill Office. A common amount of precipitation falls here at The Vly; the month with most of the rain is August, and February meanwhile is the driest month.

It is owned by Suny College Of Environmental Science and Forestry. There are no motors allowed on the lake. No fires and no overnight camping allowed. Dogs must be on a leash. There is great fishing, canoeing and kayaking. An absolutely beautiful lake in the woods. The lake has handicapped fishing access as well.... |
