The Catskill Mountains scenery is always beautiful. This lake is so wonderful. Why not camp at Covered Bridge Campsite since you're here at Vly Pond; don't leave Vly Pond without first going for a hike along the Kanape Jeep Trail. Whohoo, so much amusing stuff in one place! The Catskill Mountains is unbeatable! Dog Hollow is a good spot to go to nearby, and going for a hike on       the Seager West Branch Trail is always a fine adventure. For the period of the warm days of summer here at Vly Pond, high temperatures usually get into the 70's. Throughout the dark hours of summer temperatures plunge down into the 50's. Highs through the wintertime are mostly in the 30's, and after the sun is down during the winter temperatures at Vly Pond plunge into the 10's. Vly Pond frequently gets a lot of rainfall; the month with most of the rain                  is May; the driest month of the year is February. Having a splendid time at Vly Pond is uncomplicated. A delightful spot to camp here at Vly Pond is Willowemoc Campgrounds; the skiing at Ski Plattekill is good. You just can't imagine the amount of outdoors amusing stuff the Catskill Mountains has to offer. Neversink River - West Branch is a brilliant whitewater spot near Vly Pond, and if you like skiing, you're in luck; Belleayre is reasonably near. Interesting geology is available here; Bullet Hole is near Vly Pond, and Black Brook is in close proximity to Vly Pond and is always a bliss to check out.
