Dewitt Point is in close proximity and always wonderful to go to; a round of golf at nearby Rip Van Winkle Country Club is a fine way to kill some time. A perfect close by hotel is Friar Tuck Resort and Spa, and there's no such thing as a bad day of skiing at nearby Hunter Mountain. Van Luven Lake is a good location of typical rain; of all the months in a year May is the one with the most rain; February meanwhile       is the driest month. And that's not all you can do here in the Catskill Mountains. Post Creek is a good spot to stop by; a charming lake like Canoe Lake is a brilliant place to go to. For the period of the warmest time of the year at Van Luven Lake temperatures are frequently in the 70's. Once the sun is down it plunges down to the 50's. Throughout the wintertime highs are ordinarily in the 20's while the cold winter nights at Van Luven Lake are in the                  0's.
