Man, is there a heap of entertaining stuff to do next to Upper Reservoir. Camping is available at Beaver Pond, and going for a hike on the Stillwell Lake Trail is always a delightful adventure. The warmest time of the year at Upper Reservoir arrives with high temperatures in the 70's. Summer night lows dip down to the 60's. The wintertime brings highs down to the 30's; during the dark hours in the wintertime at       Upper Reservoir temperatures fall to the 10's. Why not camp at Sebago Cabins Harriman if you're here at Upper Reservoir, and a golf course nearby is The Garrison Golf Club. Not enough hours in a day to enjoy this location. Get yourself into a kayak and hit Popolopen Creek, and a day on the slopes of Sterling Forest is just what you need. Glide down the rapids of Moodna Creek in a kayak, and you can go for a hike on the Woodtown Trail. This lake is so                  wonderful. The peak of Black Rock can be made out from Upper Reservoir, and if you like skiing, you're in luck; Mt. Peter is reasonably near. A good site to stop at close to Upper Reservoir is Black Rock Hollow, and Econo Lodge Highland Falls is a glorious place to get some rest. Not far from Upper Reservoir, you'll hit upon Aleck Meadow Reservoir which is a beautiful lake; there are delightful spots to explore along the Appalachian National Scenic Trail. This lake is so wonderful. After a long day outdoors The Thayer Hotel is a splendid place to spend a night or two. Lakes? Sure, Arthurs Pond is close at hand.
