So much fun stuff to do here in the Adirondack Mountains, too magnificent to be true. Middle Kiln Brook is a wonderful stream that is worth checking out; if you came to camp Blue Haven Camp Ground is a splendid place to do that. Upper Chateaugay Lake is a beautiful lake in the Adirondack Mountains. Upper Chateaugay Lake sees pretty high levels of rainfall; most of the rain falls during August while February is the month with the least amount of precipitation.

at Upper Chateaugay Lake that you need to camp here for a while, Douglas Corp Of Silver Lake is a fine place for that, and a great site for whitewater paddling is Chateaugay River. This lake is so wonderful.

Silver lake mountain trail head is found on Silver lake Road, which intersects with NY Route 3 about 23 miles west of Plattsburgh [near Clayburg]. Go south on Silver Lake Road for about 10 miles, find the marked trailhead on the left side of the road. This is a short somewhat steep hike with a beautiful view from the top. Well worth the effort....Silver Lake Mt. is a glorious hike. Its not too difficult for the amateur hikers and has a few trails off to the side that are a bit more difficult and fun for the experienced hikers. Its a great place for a family or business day retreat and provides phenomenal views of the North Countries natural beauty. Enjoy the trail but remember to keep it clean and well maintained.
