If the weather is good here at Upper Ausable Lake, you can go for a hike along the Elk Lake Marcy Trail; why not a little side journey to Cedar Brook. If you fancy the outdoors you'll fancy it here in the Adirondack Mountains. If you came to camp Paradise Pines Camping Resort is a fine place to do that; John's Brook is a great whitewater spot close by. A normal amount of rain falls here at Upper Ausable Lake; the month with most of       the rain is August, and the driest of the months is February. This lake is so wonderful. If the weather is lovely, you get a good view of Blake Peak from Upper Ausable Lake, and not far from Upper Ausable Lake you'll come across Lower Asuable Lake which is a scenic lake. This place, the Adirondack Mountains, has so much outdoors amusing things. A day at charming Jones Beach close to Upper Ausable Lake is a pleasant thing to do; if you don’t have a problem                  getting covered with water, you can always go whitewater paddling on The Branch. Whohoo, so many exciting things in one place! Upper Ausable Lake is excellent! On a wonderful day at Upper Ausable Lake you can take a hike along the Range Trail; dry warm beds await you at Econo Lodge Lake Placid. Summer brings highs in the 70's to Upper Ausable Lake. When the night sets in temperatures plunge down into the 50's. High temperatures throughout the winter are normally in the 20's with temperatures at Upper Ausable Lake dipping down into the 0's through winter nights. Upper Ausable Lake is a beautiful lake in the Adirondack Mountains. So much fun stuff to do in the Adirondack Mountains, not sufficient time. Everybody nearby loves skiing at Gore Mountain; if you want to stop by some interesting stuff, stop by Cy Beedes Ledge. While you're here at Upper Ausable Lake you can take a hike along the Dividing Ridge Trail, and Courtyard Lake Placid is a good spot to get some rest. And if you're still looking for more outdoors fun things just keep reading. Lakes? Sure, Elk Lake is around here; Whiteface Mountain is a great local ski area.
