Ulster Heights Lake is a pleasant spot to camp, Skyway Campgrounds is a pleasant spot, and if the weather is nice, you can go for a hike along the Vernooy Falls Trail. Near Ulster Heights Lake you discover the Kanape Jeep Trail which is a nice hiking trail. You'll need more than a day to look at everything Ulster Heights Lake has to offer, you can camp at Skyway Camping Resort. This lake is so wonderful. Hit the slopes       at Holiday Mountain around here, and after a long day outdoors Nevele Grande Resort is a magnificent place to spend a night or two. Rondout Creek is a good whitewater spot in the neighborhood of Ulster Heights Lake, and Botsford Brook is next to Ulster Heights Lake and is always a diversion to pop by. This lake is so wonderful. Belleayre is a very popular ski area in the vicinity. Throughout the long summer days at Ulster Heights Lake highs are mostly in                  the 70's. For the duration of the dark hours of summer temperatures descend down into the 50's. For the duration of the winter highs are in the 30's, and after the sun is down all through the wintertime temperatures at Ulster Heights Lake descend into the 10's.
