This lake is so wonderful. The Vernooy Falls Trail is a perfect hiking trail near Ulster Heights Lake, and if you like skiing, you're in luck; Belleayre is quite near. All the water falling down from the sky makes Ulster Heights Lake a wet place; the month of May is the wettest with most of the rain while February is the month with the least amount of precipitation. Summer at Ulster Heights Lake comes with high temperatures       in the 70's. When the night sets in temperatures drop down into the 50's. Highs throughout the winter are frequently in the 30's, and all through the dark hours in the wintertime at Ulster Heights Lake temperatures drop to the 10's. Shawangunk Country Club is a golf course close to Ulster Heights Lake, and a wonderful location to camp here at Ulster Heights Lake is Skyway Camping Resort. Drift down the rapids of Rondout Creek in a kayak, and camping at Skyway                  Campgrounds is always a perfect experience. Near Ulster Heights Lake you come across the Kanape Jeep Trail which is a nice hiking trail. A delightful close by hotel is VALLEY BROOK INN AND COTTAGES, and swing by Botsford Brook it's a glorious place to check out. Man, is there a load of cool things to do in the neighborhood of Ulster Heights Lake. If you need a spot to stay Nevele Grande Resort is a nice choice; not far from Ulster Heights Lake you'll locate Windsor Lake which is a beautiful lake. There are other spots here than Ulster Heights Lake, for example Cranberry Lake; a day on the slopes of Holiday Mountain is just what you need. This lake is so wonderful.
