Limekiln Mountain is clearly visible from Twin Ponds; camping at Deer River Campsites is always a pleasant experience. You could also stop by Big Duck Pond since you're here at Twin Ponds; it's close by, and whitewater paddling is tremendous on Meacham Lake Outlet. From a precipitation point of view Twin Ponds is a reasonably normal location; all through the month of August       you get the most rain around here, and January on the other hand is the driest. If you adore the outdoors, you'll adore Twin Ponds. The slopes of Titus Mountain are so inviting noone can resist, and camping is available at Legton. What would winter be without some skiing at Mount Pisgah, and you're sure to run into some nice people from Malone here. During the warmest time of the year at Twin Ponds highs are usually in the 70's. Once the sun is down it descends                  down to the 50's. The winter brings highs down to the 20's; through the dark hours in the winter at Twin Ponds temperatures descend to the 0's. This lake is so wonderful.
