And that's not everything you can do here in the Adirondack Mountains. The summit of Nubble can be observed from Twin Pond, and you can run the rapids of John's Brook. Just can't get enough of the Adirondack Mountains. Going for a hike on the Stimson Trail is always a perfect adventure, and after a long day outdoors Econo Lodge Lake Placid is a brilliant spot to spend a night or two. This lake is       so wonderful. Near Twin Pond you come across the Weston Trail which is a perfect hiking trail. Go for a hike on the Leach Trail, and why not camp at Shearer's Riverside Campsite if you're here at Twin Pond. For the period of the warm days of summer, highs generally are in the 70's at Twin Pond. Summer nighttime lows fall down to the 50's. All through the wintertime highs are usually in the 20's; overnight lows at Twin Pond during the wintertime typically                  descend into the 0's. If only every place had this much outdoors enjoyable stuff, what a great planet it would be. Lakes? Sure, Giant Washbowl is nearby, and a great site to camp here at Twin Pond is Paradise Pines Camping Resort. A tremendous nearby hotel is Courtyard Lake Placid, and you can hit the slopes at Whiteface Mountain in the neighborhood. This lake is so wonderful. There are other places here than Twin Pond, for example Chapel Pond, and there's whitewater on The Branch for all you thrill seekers. Twin Pond is a good place of common precipitation; August is when you get the most rain here, and February is the month with the least moisture.
